Yes. And now they’re ending their run. So while they got more hits – the host finally has had enough and he’s pulling the plug – permanently.

I don’t want to end up like Chris.

First of all, thanks Teri for sticking up for the Foundry part of this Podcast! I sometimes think it strays too much away from Foundry, but what can you do.

Second, I do think we’re facing a big story problem in this game. I picked up this game because it was Star Trek, and Star Trek is all about Story when you get down to it. If STO doesn’t want to do that, then what’s the point of being a Star Trek game. The way I see it, and the way I’ve been seeing it for awhile now, don’t rely on Cryptic to make this a great game, cause they’ve honestly dropped the ball. (epically for Story Content now) It looks as if it is up to the true Star Trek fans, the Foundry community to continue the story, and supply the stories we’re looking for. Heck, Star Trek fans writing Star Trek Stories, wouldn’t have it any other way.

Only 27 min in so far but I gotta say what we are all thinking. Yeah the character creator is good, but it aint THAT good. Even with some peoples best attempts, and even Cryptics, the characters we create cant look dead on like the actors anyways, only strongly hinted at. Example Bones and Scotty. Dont see how they could be sued for that, even if a player made the missions featuring those characters. Heck, you cant even replicate the Picard hairline. So I think its over reacting by Cryptic to say our best attempts at recreating canon characters could get a lawsuit from the actors IMO.

I’ll say this. And I wrote Branflakes asking for him to ask the devs, and he never responded, I had planned on including a very famous character from the shows, but in my mission, he appears as an adult, something never seen in the shows, so how could I replicate what that actor looks like? Some day when I release that mission, you’ll see what I meant, and we’ll see if they stop me.

Hav, if a popular mission got famous and obviously broke EULA, yeah they wouldnt let that slide, mission eould get yanked.

Great focus on Foundry stuff, thanks to Teri. I really enjoyed this episode, despite it being so long.
