I think Bob’s review of RE’s mission could have been a little more constructive. Otherwise, it was a great show.

Regarding Alimacs mission, I gave him the obvious 5 stars. Brilliant architecture, obviously. Shuttlebay was jaw dropping. Any time a set piece makes me pull out my screenshot camera for my screensaver photoalbum, thats a good thing. I took a few pictures from different angles to catch all the balcony handywork. Hope he gives the specs for that set. My advice to him was that his sets, mainly the moon station needed more elbow room. We all want realistically scaled sets, but foundry architects have to remember how BOs behave, something Cryptic likely will never fix, and give adequate elbow room for them to navigate around with you. I was surprised how long my BOs didnt screw up there, but eventually they did. That last tight tunnel to the raft, my BOs borked to the outsides of that tunnel and two stuck there, until the walls dropped for the map transition. Like Terrilynn, I loved the little areas, but they were too small to expect BOs not to misbehave. Architects need to go with a scale that is less than Cryptics cathedrals, but not so tight as in real life in real world tight spaces. The game just cant handle all those hard point walls tightly packed that we assume BOs wont walk through. The shuttlebay was nice and roomy. Another thing, my BOs fell through that map twice, first in turbolift, then stepping out of the shuttle. Maybe place the spawn a tad more forward so the BOs have plenty of arrival room when they pop in.

The story itself was cool, but like Hav I want resolution. I was tempted to email him and ask what was I suppose to believe? I just fed that mother BS I wasnt buying myself. I wanted to believe it was aliens, but when it went the cabin fever route, it made me dislike the guy. So in the end, not sure what to think of him. But, it was a Chris Nolan Inception feel to that ending. I believe the top keeps spinning, lol.

I hope Alimac doesnt mind a lot of us using that Holedeck Skype calling, too cool not to reuse.

And I guess theres an unofficial Shuttlebay design war now, lol. With Alimac as the current king of that hill. My current mission wont have one, but he’s challenged me to want to top that lol.

Biggest thing I learn from Alimac is to think even more three dimensionally than I already do when designing maps.

If he will release his specs on that shuttlebay, I’ll release the specs on the Gary Seven transporter and Beta-5 computer/Atavachron.
