Spotlight on the Foundry: The Sword of Kuvah'Magh

The Foundry for Star Trek Online gives players a chance to create and share their very own stories with the world. These Spotlight Missions were designed by members of the Star Trek Online community and are great playable examples of what you, too, can add to the Star Trek Online universe.

This week’s spotlighted mission is “The Sword of the Kuvah’Magh“ by krwolcott.

Faction: Federation
Level Requirement: Any
Mission Summary: The Regulus System is under attack by Klingon forces, and our relief shipment to the Hromi Sector is in jeopardy. Starfleet is mobilizing to drive the Klingons back. You will assist the convoy escorts and protect the relief freighters.

This mission also won “Best Overall Mission” during the recent Foundry Authors Academy Spotlight Competition.

To play this Foundry mission, log onto a Federation character, open your Mission Journal (J), and click on ‘Hail’ under the section labeled ‘FOUNDRY’ in the “Overview” tab. You will see that this Foundry mission is spotlighted in that section.

Mission Summary: A suspected traitor and a Reman assault on Rura Penthe lead to an even greater mystery where you’re never sure who’s telling you the truth.

Go to The Great Hall in Qo’nos First City and talk to the House of Kriton Political Aide to begin.

Mission Summary: Utopia Planitia is having communication problems. The recent Klingon raid on the Mars ship yards have left the area heavily in need of repairs. Assist the third fleet there in getting things back in order and find out why communications from there are having so much trouble getting back to Starfleet.

Depths of Nukara Prime/Bowels of Nukara Prime

The Foundry for Star Trek Online gives players a chance to create and share their very own stories with the world. These Spotlight Missions were designed by members of the Star Trek Online community and are great playable examples of what you, too, can add to the Star Trek Online universe.

This week’s spotlighted mission is “Depths of Nukara Prime“ by P_Sutherland. A KDF version of the same mission, “Bowels of Nukara Prime“, is also being featured.

Level Requirement: 31+
Mission Summary:
Civilian traffic in the Eta Eridani neutral zone has been caught in the violent clashes with the Tholian Assembly in the Nukara system.

When the crew of a freighter are forced to abandon ship, their only choice for survival means entering Nukara Prime’s atmoshphere. Would you expect someone to survive in a Class Y environment?

“Depths of Nukara Prime” is also the mission that won Foundry Challenge #6!

Hello my fellow Foundry Authors/Founders,

 

Hopefully by now you’ve all heard of the Foundry Authors Academy, if you haven’t why not read the full article on the STO website. And check out the Forum Post where we have some extra details regarding dates and FAQ’s.

 

The FAA, is a joint project between PrimetimeUGC, StarbaseUGC, Cerberus Films and Cryptic Studios, to provide comprehensive, fun and informative tutorials or “lectures” on the Foundry UGC Toolset, from the very beginning, all live.

 

We’re looking for experienced and knowledgeable authors to come and join us, to share their knowledge.

To take part, you’ll need to be free on Saturday the 6th of April, 12 Noon PDT/ 7PM GMT for 3 hours, as well as have access to a Skype Account and have an internet upload speed of 0.4mbps or better (you can test yours here http://www.speedtest.net/).

This is our 20th episode, and to make it more special, we have a Neverwinter exclusive.

Storm Clouds
This week’s spotlighted mission is “Storm Clouds“ by drkfrontiers.

Faction: Klingon Level Requirement: 31+ Mission Summary: Set amid the tumultuous intrigues of a dissident group known as the “Triumvirate,” seeking to bring an end to Chancellor J’mpok’s reign, a ruthless adversary has arisen from the ashes of Romulus.

Hesiod Severus is unforgiving in his loathing of the United Federation of Planets, and the Klingon Empire alike.

Vowing to restore the Romulan Star Empire to greater glory, Hesiod will stop at nothing to uncover the mysteries of the “Totality,”an ancient creature whose destructive power he will unleash to give birth to a new empire.

“Storm Clouds” is the first episode of the epic 5-mission series, “A Crucible of Battle War”. Episodes 2-5 are also available to play in-game. The player-created trailer for this series can also be viewed here.

Foundry Spotlight: First Cause, Then Effect

The Spotlight on the Foundry returns this week with a brand-new featured mission. This week’s spotlighted Foundry mission is ”First Cause, Then Effect” by @RogueEnterprise.

Mission Summary: A member of the Federation council on board personal transport has failed to report in after a morale boosting visit to the front lines in the Neutral Zone, along with her Starfleet escorts.

While the ship was lost in a rather strange area of space, killing a Federation dignitary would make an excellent trophy for any Klingon warrior…

The reward is random. You could get blue or better gear or a special Duty Officer mini pack. Something like that, kind of like what you get on Nukara.

Left to Die

The Foundry for Star Trek Online gives players a chance to create and share their very own stories with the world. These Spotlight Missions were designed by members of the Star Trek Online community and are great playable examples of what you, too, can add to the Star Trek Online universe.

This week’s spotlighted mission is “Left to Die” by Tiuz.
Faction: Federation
Level Requirement: Any
Mission Summary: When there’s no more room in hell, the dead beam back aboard.

Your mission is to find the U.S.S. Romero, a ship that went missing while mapping the Badlands. As the story unfolds, you will learn of its gruesome fate.

To play this Foundry mission, log onto a Federation character, open your Mission Journal (J), choose the ‘Available’ tab from the top, and then click on the ‘Community Authored’ tab to the left. Once in this menu, click the arrow at the top to bring down the search function and search for “Tiuz”. Once the mission “Left to Die” by Tiuz appears, click on it and press the ‘Hail’ button on the bottom-right of the Mission Journal to accept the mission.

Dead Men Tell No Tales

The Foundry for Star Trek Online gives players a chance to create and share their very own stories with the world. These Spotlight Missions were designed by members of the Star Trek Online community and are great playable examples of what you, too, can add to the Star Trek Online universe.

This week’s spotlighted mission is “Dead Men Tell No Tales“ by Aavarius.
Faction: Klingon
Level Requirement: 16+
Mission Summary: A secret mission in the Kahless Expanse to save the Klingon homeworld from the Federation trickery where one human discovers that apparently it wasn’t a good day to die. Journey to a realm out of time, out of space… and out of your mind!

To play this Foundry mission, log onto a Klingon character, open your Mission Journal (J), choose the ‘Available’ tab from the top, and then click on the ‘Community Authored’ tab to the left. Once in this menu, click the arrow at the top to bring down the search function and search for “Aavarius”. Once the mission “Dead Men Tell No Tales” by Aavarius appears, click on it and press the ‘Hail’ button on the bottom-right of the Mission Journal to accept the mission.
